The Ball Drop Circulation Sub is an essential component of the service string. In the conventional operation mode, a ball is dropped and pressure is applied to shear the shear pins on the piston. After the piston moves, a flow path is established between the inside and outside of the service string to form a circulation passage. Alternatively, pressure can be applied directly to the tubing to drive the piston upward, shear the pins, and open the circulation channel.
